Very kind company and explanation of the type of wines. They took the time to feel us welcome and let us taste different wines. Don’t doubt to come here! Also the wines were very nice.

Expérience très sympathique ! Le fils Alexander nous a fait la dégustation, il est vraiment passionné et cela se ressent ! Nous repasserons définitivement là si nous sommes dans le coin.

Fenomenalna vina

Suzanne looked after us and was incredibly kind and generous, not only with the wines but also with her time and company. We went at around 11am and she opened her cellar for us, immediately fixing a plate of homemade salami (which was absolutely incredible), olives and cheese. This was well above and beyond anything we ever would have expected or asked for and definitely made us feel very welcomed from the start. She spent some time getting to know us to better help our tasting experience and understand what we were after as well as to be a good host in general. We lost track of time talking to her, drinking wines, and had a very fun time chatting away. As for the wines themselves - they were fantastic. The Poje was a real standout, and it was great to try styles we don't get to see at home (Australia). Even those styles that were familiar (like the Sauvignon) were completely different to what we'd had before. Ring ahead to book in some time and I'm sure you won't regret it. Don't be put off by the website - it is basic but is beneficial in offering English translation. Go down the stairs from the sign, otherwise, you may interrupt the next door neighbours very talented gardening (sorry!)

Was für Gastfreundschaft!!! Mein Mann und ich sind dort unangemeldet für eine Weinprobe aufgetaucht und Suzana, die Winzerin, nahm sich direkt Zeit für uns. Wir fühlten uns, als seien wir bei Freunden! Später, als Suzana einen Termin hatte, hat uns ihr Sohn weiterbewirtet. Es war wirklich unfassbar schön. Die Weine haben durch die Bank eine fantastische Nase und sind wirklich sehr lecker. Wenn wir wieder in der Gegend sind, ist ein Besuch Pflicht und Vergnügen!

Nous avons été très satisfaits de notre visite chez Aleksander Vina. Le fils Vasie parle anglais et nous a fait la dégustation avec beaucoup d'explications. Un table avec de la charcuterie et du fromage avait été préparée pour nous manger pendant la dégustation. Nous avons goûté au total 3 vins blancs, 3 vins rouges et un vin sucré. Le prix était de 15€/pers mais comme nous avons acheté du vin, la visite était gratuite. Nous recommandons cette adresse !

At Vina Aleksander it's a unique experience, really well host for testing different wine from his production,varieties of grapes 🍇 that are local for the region and also his famous amazing Merlot,the host was accomplished by a drive to see the the vineyard ,and the local area,I can really see that these people take there time and spirit to produce quality wine for us to enjoy .. I recommend to visit the house by appointment and Mr Alexander and his wife would be very interested to host you and give you a nice introduction of goriška barda and the art of producing wine,if you are looking for a place where you will spend some time understanding about the wine culture nibble some good cheese and ham accomplish with local olive oil and olives this is the place you are looking for.

Fabulous wine, owners were so generous. Perfect day in the wine country. I felt like they were old friends. A must stop
